Present Continuous. The beginning.

We are going to talk about Present Continuous in English. Мы собираемся с Вами поговорить о Present Continuous (настоящее длительное время) в английском языке.

We use Present Continuous when we are talking about an action that is happening at the moment (in the middle of the dialogue).

Ex.

- Sorry, honey. I can't tell you the whole story right now. I'm having a dinner with my colleagues.

- Please, call her back. She is studying right now.

Мы используем Present Continuous (настоящее длительное время), когда говорим о действии, которое выполняется в данный момент (на момент ведения диалога).

Давайте посмотрим, как же формируются предложения с Present Continuous.

Утвердительные предложения.

I am (I'm) drinking

He/she/it is (he's/she's/it's) driving

We/you/they are (we're/you're/they're) eating

Отрицательные предложения.

I am (I'm) + not driving

He/she/it is (he's/she's/it's) + not reading

We/you/they are (we're/you're/they're) + not playing

Вопросительные предложения.

Am I typing?

Is he/she/it running?

Are we/you/they flying?
